Hey, I'm Mari.


I'm an abstract artist and photographer whose work spans across various mediums.  


My love of photography started with the pictures of my childhood in Japan. After moving away from Japan...looking at those family pictures was a way to reconnect to something I no longer had access to. One thing in particular I loved about those photographs was the light in those pictures. That's something I'm still drawn to when it comes to photography.


In my photographic work I often explore the interplay between light, structure and form.

Other themes I like to explore is capturing the unintended beauty as I see it around me. And the feeling a photograph evokes is important to me.
